Brighton Permaculture Trust

Brighton Permaculture Trust is a charity that promotes greener lifestyles and sustainable development through design. This is done through courses, events and local projects.

The Brighton Permaculture Trust have a plot up at Stanmer Organics where they run weekly plot days, developing their demonstration permaculture garden. They also run a harvest scrumping project and cultivate local species of orchard fruit and have planted a number of Orchards in the city.

Address:

The Plot, Stanmer Organics, Stanmer Park. Scrumping takes place in various points around the city. You can see a map here.

Regular workdays:

Every Thursday from 10:30am-3pm you can volunteer at 'The Plot' in Stanmer Organics and learn about permaculture in action. You don't have to have any previous experience or know anything about permaculture. Just bring some veggie food to share for lunch. It's always a great day with lots of interesting conversations and learning.
