We are pleased to host and share this fundraising event organised by Brighton’s wonderful Chef Kanthi:
“As we all must have been aware by now, India is going through tough times as they are hit hard by the second wave of COVID. I have been hearing stories from my friends and family that are heart-breaking. I have spoken to some of my friends who are doctors and one thing they said they really need as soon as possible is oxygen cylinders.
India is the country that made me what I am today and many of you have enjoyed the Indian food at my pop-ups or at Easy Tiger or as part of my cooking lessons. So, I have decided to raise as much as I can by doing some cooking lessons, donating a pound from some dishes at Easy Tiger, and also pop-ups in the coming months.
I hope you all will join me and help raise funds to save some lives. All the money raised will be going to the ‘Mission Oxygen’ campaign led by ‘Democracy People Foundation’.”
This lesson is inspired from all Kanthi’s chef-led culinary tours in Kerala, Goa and Sri Lanka so the dishes cooked will be from these regions. The menu will have a vegan and vegetarian option.
The cost of the lesson is £50 per person and includes a welcome drink.
This lesson is more practical if booked in pairs due to the amount of prep that needs to be done.
Anyone interested to book please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
