10:00 am - 3:00 pm
A class about how to cook low-cost, tasty meals to keep any student replete, happy and nourished during those first few months of independent living.
This full-day’s class is aimed at young people about to leave home for the first time. Experienced cookery leader (and mum of teenagers) Anna assumes a tight budget, limited kitchen equipment and even less patience for spending time in the kitchen when there’s much to do elsewhere – and she still comes up with plenty of possibilities: getting creative with tomato sauce, taking the boring out of basics such as eggs, potatoes and rice, and even adding some ambition with a cake recipe or two.
Participants will cook and eat three delicious meals and some snacks on this course – and graduate with some great recipes to take away.
Dietary information: This class can be adapted for vegetarian or vegan diets, this must be specified when booking. For any other allergies or dietary requirements, please contact us to discuss before booking.
