Discover tasty recipes and tips for keeping healthy and happy when time is short and money tight.
In this five-week course, you will learn how to whip up delicious, low-cost meals with store cupboard essentials – from chilli to chickpea curry, and minestrone to mushroom risotto – as well as how to love (and make the most of) your leftovers. Each session includes a shared lunch and there are often leftovers to take away as well.
Sessions will also cover key cookery skills, advice on healthy eating and nutrition, and tips for smarter shopping. This course is suitable for anyone who could do with some new ideas on how to eat cheaply and eat well.
We ask for a suggested donation of just £5 per week (total £25) to secure your place. Speak to us if cost is a barrier.
Who can apply?
- People who live in Brighton & Hove who are in receipt of a means tested benefit
- We also recognize some people working, studying or otherwise are also on a low income so please contact us to have a chat
