Small-plate cooking the Chinese way!
Chinese cuisine has long embraced what many in the UK are only just discovering today – that you get more bang for your buck with bite-sized dishes. In this hands-on course, you will be taken on a journey of discovery to learn about the different styles of dim sum and the specialist ingredients needed for them, before preparing and cooking your own using a traditional steamer basket over a wok.
You will create siu mai, a type of open wonton, a bao bun and tasty vegetarian, fish or meat dim sum dumplings, depending on your preference – an authentic dim sum feast to celebrate the start of the Chinese new year of the pig.
