  Thursday 1 Jul 2021

  6:00 pm  - 8:00 pm

Join Caroline Whiteman as she shares tips and techniques so you will never again feel limited by the idea of vegetarian cookery.

Caroline WhitemanCaroline enjoys cooking seasonally with organic ingredients, and is inspired by local produce – and wherever possible she will showcase these. This class will see her sharing some favourite recipes, including original twists and tricks to make your veggie food so delicious even the most committed carnivores won’t miss the meat.

You will prepare a range of different recipes during the class, and best of all, you will end the session having created a tasty vegetarian feast.

All recipes in this course are also vegan or easily adapted to be vegan.

Previous participants said: “Thank you for a wonderful evening – great recipes, delicious food and excellent company… I will definitely be cooking these recipes again.” “Will certainly cook more vegetarian dishes.” “Liked the range of different dishes to choose to cook and taste.”

Covid-19 safety measures

This class takes place after 21st June when social distancing rules are scheduled to change. We will adapt our procedures and numbers attending this event according to the latest government guidelines when these are released.

We’ve taken time to develop new procedures and systems to keep participants, volunteers and staff safe, find out more here. For those who have attended our classes in the past, the key changes are that we now ask everyone to wear a face covering when moving around the room, we no longer share a meal at the end but will package food to takeaway, and we are of course keeping to social distancing during the classes.

Booking instructions

Tickets for this event are £49.99 per person, or £89.99 (in total) when booking two tickets at once. Those booking a pair of tickets should be from the same household or bubble as they will be working closely together, whilst still creating their own dishes.

We have a limited number of tickets available at a concession rate of £29.99 for those who are in receipt of a means-tested benefit, under-18s (must be accompanied by an adult), as well as full-time students. If available, these options will appear in the drop-down when purchasing your ticket.

Refund policy:

Due to current government guidelines and for the safety of all involved, we have greatly reduced the number of participants at our cookery classes. Any cancellations now have an increased impact on our ability to run a viable cookery school. We are therefore unable to provide refunds except if there is a mistake with the booking and we are notified within 48 hours after booking. In the event of a local/ national lockdown or change in government guidelines, we will reschedule classes if necessary and bookings will be valid for the new date or can be transferred to another event.

If you are unable to attend your class for any reason, we encourage you to transfer your booking to a friend who can attend in your place. Please provide us with the new attendee’s details (for the purposes of track & trace) before the class starts by emailing info@bhfood.org.uk. Thank you for your understanding and support.
