The Food Partnership are pleased to have partnered with green energy supplier Octopus to fund some follow-on events for our dementia-friendly food project and we want to ask for your help.
For both participants and carers who have loved being a part of a gardening or cooking programme, follow on events like garden parties or cake baking get togethers are a brilliant way to stay connected and break down the isolation of the last year.
In our courses we have sown seeds, celebrated the seasons, laughed, eaten lots of home made snacks, created and shared many delicious meals along the way. Participants make lasting friendships and carers can feel supported in the group.
Octopus energy is 100% renewable energy and it couldn’t be easier to switch. When you do you’ll receive £50 off your bill and we will receive £50 towards our Dementia connect work.
We have a target of 10 switches in the next month and would be thrilled if one of them could be you! Some of our team are already with Octopus and say switching was incredibly easy and of course it is great to be with an energy supplier that uses 100% renewable sources.
Please use bhfp-dementia.octopus.energy to support us and change your supplier to a clean, renewable source.
If you want to know more about the difference this funding could make, please have a read about how we’ve supported people during the last year of lockdowns and social distancing, or some stories from our gardening groups when we were able to run them in person. Or watch our short video below.
We’d be very grateful if you would share this link with friends and family to help support this connecting and life enhancing project.
