Service changes

For the past nine years Brighton & Hove Food Partnership has, with Albion in the Community (AITC), developed and delivered the city’s community healthy weight service – Shape Up Brighton & Hove. It is with sadness that we announce that from 1st April 2018 the Food Partnership and AITC will no longer be providing this service when BeeZee Bodies Ltd will take over the Public Health funded contract to deliver Tier 2 Weight Management services. This means that the Healthy Weight Referral Service run by the Food Partnership will close on Thursday 29th March.

BeeZee Bodies will be running both child and adult weight management group programmes with telephone / Skype options for 1-1 interventions. For more information about the programmes they run, please see the BeeZee Bodies website.

From 1st April 2018, all referrals for weight management should be directed to Brighton & Hove City Council Healthy Lifestyles Team who will provide a single point of contact through which referrals will be triaged to relevant lifestyle services (including BeeZee Bodies, Health Trainers, Healthwalks, and Active for Life). They can be contacted on 01273 294589 or Please also contact the Healthy Lifestyles Team if you want more information about referral, inclusion and exclusion criteria.

For any questions relating to this contract the Commissioner is Victoria Lawrence who can be contacted on:
