Brighton & Hove Food Partnership is excited to announce that we are taking on a new piece of land based in the heart of Stanmer Park.
The site is about 4 acres, comprised of community food growing spaces and woodland areas. It was previously known as ‘Nourish Community Farm’, co-ordinated by Care Co-ops and then the Platform. We are located next to the Walled Garden and Stanmer Organics. We are calling it ‘Stanmer Wellbeing Gardens’.
Our aims for the site are to have a thriving, community space where people can find sanctuary and nurture wellbeing through the provision of food-growing, gardening, education and nature connection activities. There are currently 8 groups using the site and we have 13 spaces.
Is your group looking for a plot of land to start a community food-growing project? Do you need a woodland space to undertake education activities?
We are accepting applications now until the changed deadline of Monday 17th December at 2pm.
If you would like to look around the site, to explore possibilities then we are having site visits on:
Thursday 8th November @ 10:30am, meet outside Stanmer House
Thurs 6th December @ 11:00am, meet outside Stanmer Nurseries
If you have any queries or to confirm you would like to attend a site visit please contact Helen Starr-Keddle on firstname.lastname@example.org or 07850 002596.
