Stanmer Wellbeing Gardens Eco-building Consultation

Stanmer Wellbeing Gardens is a four-acre site we manage up at Stanmer Park.  It is used by 13 community groups for a mixture of activities such as community food growing, nature connection and forest schools.

Quiet Garden at Stanmer daffodilsWe are at the very beginning of planning an exciting project – to build an eco-building on our land which can be used by our members and to hire out to individuals and organisations for events, activities, storage and shelter.

We imagine a discrete building nestled into the landscape, using local materials, eco-friendly building techniques and low-carbon technology.  The building will be surrounded by a lilac garden, wildflowers and edible plants.  We imagine that groups might want to hire it out to undertake activities such as ‘yoga in the woods’, bushcraft, birthday parties and staff wellbeing days.

However, this will only happen if it is a viable business, so we have enlisted the help of a group of business studies students from Brighton University to help us with a consultation.

If you are interested in hiring out the proposed eco-building or attending an activity at Stanmer Wellbeing Gardens, please help us by completing this online survey:
