‘Time for Tea’ club for people living with dementia
About this event
Spaces for our Time for Tea Group are now full. You are still very welcome to apply and join our waitlist.
Who’s this for? Those living with mild to moderate dementia who would enjoy cooking together in a sociable atmosphere.
Cooking, eating and spending time preparing a meal can be a wonderful activity to help bring back happy memories of the past or previous knowledge. At our cookery club, participants get involved in preparing a light meal, with different dishes each session. We then eat the food together as a shared tea. Participants may attend alongside a family member, friend or carer if needed. Our sessions are tailored to the needs and interests of the participants, within a friendly and supportive environment.
When: Fortnightly on a Wednesday from 2-4pm
The Community Kitchen is wheelchair friendly.
What previous participants said about the group: “A fantastic confidence-building and social course that benefits all.” “As a complete non-cook, I’ve really enjoyed every aspect of taking part.” “Being with other people and having lots of help and encouragement.”
