The Weald Allotment Community Food Project

Reduces food waste and provides people in food poverty with access to fruit, vegetables, bread and other surplus from local food businesses and is stocked from donations of surplus from the 400 allotment-holders on the Weald site as well as local supermarkets and food businesses.

Who is it for?:

Open to the public. No referral needed. A voluntary donation of £1 per collection is requested.

 

When:

  • Thursdays
  • Sundays

10am -12 midday , or closing earlier if all the food has gone.

Volunteers Needed:

Volunteer foragers to collect donated food from local shops on Wednesday and Saturday nights from 20:45-22:15, one or two sessions per month (car or van required) Volunteers to help at our food distribution sessions, from 9.15 to 12.15 on Thursdays and Sundays, one or two sessions per month.
