Festive Baking Basics (community cookery)
About this event
Places are open to those living in social housing as well as older people living alone or with a health condition.
We will cook in pairs and share tasty recipes and tips for baking biscuits and cakes that impress. No previous skills required. Our Community Cookery Leader Emiliano will demonstrate essential skills and help you avoid common mistakes. In just a few hours you will create and takeaway bakes such as:
- Ginger biscuits
- Spiced popcorn bars
- Festive muffins
Join us for a relaxing and friendly session and leave with new skills and inspiration.
Booking instructions
Who can attend?
People who are able to participate independently and attend an in person cookery session. Attendees must be either social housing residents or older people living alone or with a health condition.
Places on this cookery class have been funded by Ageing Well Brighton & Hove and by Southern Housing Group.
Costs:
We ask for a suggested donation of £5 on the day of the class, payments can be made by cash or card.
If travel/ transport costs will be an issue for you, please contact us as we may be able to help.

All participants must apply for a space on this course in advance – we will contact you around two weeks before the class to confirm if your application has been successful.
