Chef Kanthi brings the authentic tastes of his travels to the Community Kitchen, with a menu that follows the coastline between Kerala and Sri Lanka. Learn the techniques and flavour combinations that have evolved over centuries so you can prepare some of Kanthi’s favourite homestyle dishes from across this region.
You will typically prepare a menu of: aubergine and coconut curry, prawn curry, rasam (a spiced vegetable broth), tomato daal and saffron rice. You will prepare the menu working in pairs, with Kanthi’s guidance, then sit and eat together, with the option to bring your own drinks to enjoy alongside the meal.
What previous participants on Kanthi’s classes said: “Kanthi was a great teacher & the food was amazing!” “Very well explained & great info on Sri Lanka and how the food differs from Indian” “I will definitely make this meal. Picked up some great tips.”
