Thursday 16 Jan 2020 - Thursday 13 Feb 2020
10:00 am - 12:30 pm
We share tasty recipes and tips for keeping healthy and well fed when time is short and budgets are tight.
In this five-week course, participants learn how to create delicious, low-cost meals with store cupboard essentials – from chilli to curry, and soups to cakes – as well as how to love (and make the most of) any leftovers. Each session includes a shared lunch, and most dishes cooked during the course are vegetarian.
The course will also cover key cookery skills, advice on healthy eating and nutrition and tips for smarter shopping.
We ask for a suggested donation of just £5 per week (total £25 – payable in advance or week by week) to secure your place. Speak to us if cost is a barrier.
Who can apply?
- People who live in Brighton & Hove who are in receipt of a means tested benefit
- We also recognize some people working, studying or otherwise are also on a low income so please contact us to have a chat
