Monday 22 Jul 2019
6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Transport yourself to a sun-drenched Mediterranean island as you re-create the delicious flavours that make up the traditional Cypriot spread.
In this special Community Kitchen fundraiser, you will learn how to prepare several tasty small dishes, including beetroot salad, baked feta, calamari (optional for vegetarians) and classic thin-sliced, herbed ‘badada’ chips – all favourites on the Papa Pitta menu at the Freehaus Pub in Hanover, and since their famous days at Diplock’s Yard in the North Laine.
We’ll also prepare the classic cocktail which originated in Cyprus, the Brandy Sour, as a welcome drink and there will be plenty of time to chat to your tutor kebab king Yoddi, founder of Papa Pitta, about the Cypriot family who inspired him, and his tips and advice about Mediterranean food before you settle down to enjoy your amazing meze selection.
Tickets for this event include:
- professional cookery tuition
- all ingredients and equipment
- hot drinks throughout the session and a welcome cocktail
- a sit-down meal at our sociable dining table
- all recipes from the class.
Tickets for this event are £29.99 per person, or £24.99 (per person) when booking two or more tickets at once.
Thanks to Yoddi for generously donating his time for this event. All profits raised from this class support our community cookery activities – where everyone can experience the benefits of cooking and eating together, regardless of finance, confidence or ability.
We offer a full refund if you change or cancel your place up to 14 days before your class. If you cancel between seven and 14 days before your class, we offer a 50% refund. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds when a place is cancelled less than seven days before the class is due to take place.Book your place
