Learn new ways with the classic Christmas pairing in this cheese and wine workshop – led by top food writer Patrick McGuigan and Helen Chesshire of the Bolney Wine Estate. We can’t wait to welcome this fun duo back to the Kitchen after their fab sold-out cheese event in June.
In this hands-on class, Patrick will show you the trick behind a gorgeous and gooey truffled Camembert, and you will create a festive cranberry and hazelnut dukka to accompany a delicious baked Vacherin. You will taste some of Patrick’s favourite festive cheeses, going beyond the traditional stilton, and learn how to transform hot mince pies with a cheesy addition.
You will taste five cheeses in total, and alongside Helen will offer some award-winning boozy tastings as she reveals how you can complement your creations with the best in English wines and spirits.
This is great seasonal prep for impressing your guests this Christmas – or maybe just for readying yourself for a little indulgence by the fireside this holiday.
Patrick McGuigan is a Brighton-based food journalist, who writes for The Telegraph and runs the London Cheese Project Festival. He is also the co-founder of Brighton’s OctoberBest restaurant festival.
Bolney Wine Estate: Three generations of the family are now involved in this local wine company, located on the edge of the South Downs, across five separate vineyard sites.
