Greek Masterclass with Alexandros Tzimos, Head Chef of Nostos – FUNDRAISER, SOLD OUT
About this event
This is a special, fundraising event and Alex from Nostos is donating his time to help raise funds for our community cookery groups. Thank you all for your support.
We will create a classic Greek dish which you can then replicate at home for your family and friends to enjoy.
Alex will showcase one of his favourite dishes – Sea Bream a la Polita, a famous recipe in Greece introduced by the most popular Greek chef of the twentieth century, Nicholas Tselemendes. He took a traditional artichoke recipe which had its origins in Constantinople (Istanbul today) and made his own version into one of the best-loved Greek recipes for springtime. Your menu:
- Pan-fried sea bream
- Brunoise artichokes
- Avgolemono sauce with saffron
- Matched wine with your meal
You will work in pairs as Alex shares his knowledge on filleting & knife skills, professional flavour combinations and chef’s cooking techniques and tips. At the end of this class, you’ll have a wealth of seafood and cheffy knowhow and some important techniques under your belt.
Then he will join you with a specially matched wine as you enjoy your meal at the end of this special Masterclass.
Fish types and garnishes may change due to seasonal availability and local landings.
