‘Cholita’ – Palmito Supper Club at the Community Kitchen – FUNDRAISER

Join us for a fundraising supper club to celebrate local seasonal produce cooked by local chefs championing sustainability & community.
Hosted by Diego Ricaurte (chef pa
tron Palmito, Hove) alongside:
- Vicky Cowan (plant-based chef, ex Apricity Restaurant, Green Michelin star)
- Kat Kocsis (fermenter/forager and author of the ‘Forage to Fork’ cookbook)
Together they will showcase Palmito-style dishes celebrating some of their favourite local producers. This is a chance to enjoy some tapas style small plates, learn chef’s tips, hear about what inspires them and what makes this style of food special.
Two sittings are available which can be specified on booking:
- 5.30 – 7pm
- 7.30 – 9pm
What’s included: A celebration of local produce from Pitfield Veg, Shrub, Barcombe Nurseries, and meat from Saddlescombe Farm sourced for the class through our Sussex Grazed meat box project.
- 4 tapas-style small plates inspired by Palmito’s spice-driven menu
- A signature fermented cocktail
This is a fundraiser to support the Community Kitchen’s Batch Cookery classes which help local people on low incomes over the winter months.
Dietary information: The menu for this event includes meat and is gluten-free, however, please note that we cannot guarantee the kitchen is a fully gluten-free environment. This is not a cookery class but a supper club and evening with these wonderful chefs
