Halloween may be over, but the horror of food waste continues. Each year the UK wastes 18,000T of surplus pumpkins – but that doesn’t have to happen!
Join us for this family-friendly lunchtime event celebrating the tastiness of potentially wasted Sussex produce and meet local organisations working together to reduce surplus food. Hear about – and taste! – our plans to turn leftover food into preserved products, and find out how you can get involved.

• Find out why food goes to waste and what you can do about it
• Press local apples into juice
• Take home freshly gleaned surplus squash or pumpkin to cook yourself
