6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Inspired by his food tours in Sri Lanka, Chef Kanthi will be teaching a Sri Lankan cooking lesson where you will learn how to make a classic coconut sambol to accompany Sri Lankan aubergine, green gram (mung bean) salad, Kukul Mas Curry – a local chicken (or vegetable) curry – and Kaha Bath (traditional yellow rice).
You will prepare the menu working in pairs, with Kanthi’s guidance, then sit and eat together, with the option to bring your own drinks to enjoy alongside the meal.
What previous participants on Kanthi’s classes said: “I totally loved it… The atmosphere and the delicious food.” “Approachable chef/ teacher.” “I have the confidence to give it a go.”
Find out more about Kanthi and the other cooks who teach in the Community Kitchen.
