chef kanthi in the kitchenInspired by his food tours in Sri Lanka, Chef Kanthi will be teaching a Sri Lankan cooking lesson. A typical menu includes: a classic coconut sambol to accompany Sri Lankan aubergine, green gram (mung bean) salad, Kukul Mas Curry – a local chicken (or vegetable) curry – and Kaha Bath (traditional yellow rice).

You will prepare the menu working in pairs, with Kanthi’s guidance, then sit and eat together, with the option to bring your own drinks to enjoy alongside the meal. This class is adaptable to most dietary requirements, please specify when booking or contact us if you wish to discuss.

Dietary information: This class is adaptable for vegetarian and vegan diets, this must be specified when booking. The menu is also gluten-free however we cannot guarantee the kitchen is a fully gluten-free environment. For any other allergies or dietary requirements, please contact us to discuss before booking.

Tickets for this event include:

  • professional cookery tuition
  • all ingredients and equipment
  • hot drinks throughout the session
  • a full meal at our sociable dining table (You are welcome to bring your own drinks to enjoy with the meal. We usually eat about 30mins before the class ends so you may wish to have a snack before you attend.)
  • all recipes from the class.

Booking instructions

Tickets for this event are £49.99 per person, or £44.99 (per person) when booking two or more tickets at once. We have a limited number of tickets available at a concession rate of £34.99 for those who are in receipt of a means-tested benefit, under-18s (must be accompanied by an adult), as well as full-time students. If available, these options will appear in the drop-down when purchasing your ticket.

Refund policy:

We offer a full refund if you change or cancel your place up to 14 days before your class. If you cancel between seven and 14 days before your class, we offer a 50% refund. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds when a place is cancelled less than seven days before the class is due to take place.

Please note Eventbrite now has a policy of keeping the Eventbrite fees associated with a booking (roughly 6.5% of the total cost) even when a refund is made.
