Fork & Dig It
A community food growing project committed to organic principles, based on a beautiful site at Stanmer Organics. They run Brighton Community Supported Agriculture which produces a locally grown, organic fruit and veg share, picked and delivered to your door on the same day (Tel: 07928088007).
Organic vegetable box scheme delivered to your doorstep. There is a strong bias towards leafy salads and herbs but also expect to find over 50 different vegetables in your box throughout the year and you can also add fruit and eggs to your weekly order (Tel: 01323 741 000 or 07815 019 902).
Florence Road Market
What: A year-round neighbourhood farmer’s market featuring local and organic fruit and veg, craft sourdough bread, fresh farm dairy, a local butcher, street food options, fresh fish, a coffee bar and more.
Where: In the courtyard of One Church at Florence Road, Brighton.
Opening times: Every Saturday 9.30am-1.30pm
The Open Market
What: Market with over 45 independent retail units and a mix of traditional and contemporary market stalls, including local produce, cafes, clothing, art and more.
Where: London Road / Ditchling Road
Opening times: Monday-Friday 7am-7pm, Saturdays 7am-5pm (stalls from 10am), Sundays 10am-5pm
Upper Gardner Street Market
What: Traditional market selling organic veg, cheese, cakes, pickles as well as antiques, books, jewellery and retro goods.
Where: Upper Gardner Street, North Laine area
