Bruschetta

A traditional Italian dish a bit like a mini pizza made with fresh crusty bread, tomatoes, garlic and basil.

Serves 4 people


 

  • 4 medium tomatoes
  • 8 tablespoon(s) olive oil
  • 4 teaspoon(s) lemon juice
  • 4 pinch(es) chopped fresh basil
  • 4 pinch(es) chopped fresh oregano
  • 8 slices of rustic bread
  • 4 cloves garlic

 

Cut the bread to the desired size.

Cut the garlic clove in half and rub it over the surface of the bread.

Brush with olive oil and and grill until golden brown.

Chop the tomatoes up into chunks and place in a bowl.

Add the remaining oil, lemon juice and herbs and mix in.

To serve: Place the tomatoes onto the toasted bread and enjoy.
