Choco Popcorn bars (no cook)

A Community Kitchen staff favourite! Make a batch to share with friends or colleagues. The bars will keep for up to a week in the fridge. 

 

Serves 4 people

Method

Leave the popcorn in the bag and crush them using a wooden spoon (or a rolling pin). 

In a medium sized bowl mix the peanut butter, cocoa powder and maple syrup together. 

Add popcorn (and the seeds or fruit if using them) and stir until well combined. 

Press the mixture into a container lined with parchment paper. 

Set in the freezer for 30/40 mins

Cut into bars. 

Store in the fridge.

Prep time: 5 minutes 

Cook time: none

40g popcorn crushed

(usually half bag of ready made popcorn) 

 

You can alternatively use breakfast cereals or puffed rice.  

120g peanut butter

60g golden syrup
2 tbsp cocoa powder

Optional: 

2 tbsp seeds
or 2 tbsp of dried fruit
