Korean Dipping Sauce

Perfect accompaniment to Kimchi Pancakes – as well as dumplings, meat, vegetables or tofu.


2 Tbsp caster sugar

4 Tbsp soy sauce or tamari

4 Tbsp water

4 Tbsp rice wine vinegar /Mirin

4 spring onions, finely sliced

1/2 tsp Korean chilli flakes (Gochugaru) (optional)

1/2 tsp minced garlic

1/2 tsp toasted sesame seeds

1/2 tsp sesame oil

1 Green or red chilli finely chopped (optional)

Mix all the ingredients together well in a bowl and stir, making sure that the sugar is fully dissolved.

Place in a shallow serving bowl for dipping.
