Roast chicken

An easy dish with not many ingredients to worry about.

Serves 4 people


 

  • chicken
  • pinch(es) salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon(s) oil

 

 

Put the oven on at 190°C or Gas Mark 5

Put the oil in a big baking tray

Put the chicken in the baking tray

Sprinkle salt and pepper all over

Work out how long you will need to cook the chicken for.
Cook the chicken for 20 minutes for each 450g.
A medium chicken will take about an hour.

To check if the chicken is cooked, put a sharp knife into the biggest part of the thigh. The juices that come out should be clear and NOT PINK.
