The Community Fridge, opened in November 2025, provides a place for residents to share surplus produce and access fresh food. Supported by funding from Hubbub, it is part of the national Community Fridge network. Unlike foodbanks, Community Fridges are open to everyone with no eligibility criteria, focusing on reducing food waste and sharing good-quality produce, including Laines Organic Farm, Pitfield Farm, My Little Farm, Highbarn Community Farm, Barcombe Organic Nurseries and Rock Farm

How to Donate Money:
Whilst we welcome one-off donations, we are really encouraging those that can to consider making a monthly contribution (of £5 or £10) which will go towards supporting everything that we do and give you access to all the trips, events, workshops we run too, plus puts money back in the pot to support disadvantaged households in the area. So, it’s like making a charitable donation that you get loads back for (not just fresh food!). Email us at verylocalfoodhubs@gmail.com for more info, or pop down when we’re open to talk to a volunteer.
