A Community Garden bringing together vulnerable adults and volunteers in a mutually supportive group at Stanmer Park.
Volunteers get involved in various gardening activities – preparing beds, sowing seeds, planting and learning about growing fruit and vegetables.
We sell some of our produce to A Share of the Crop to help sustain ourselves, the rest we either share round the group for them to take home, or we use it to make fresh soup at lunchtime, prepared on our camp fire.
We take regular walks around Stanmer Park, and most importantly, spend time enjoying the holistic benefits of being surrounded by the beautiful surrounds of the South Downs, away from the hustle and bustle of modern life.
