Sussex Homeless Support are a registered non-profit Brighton charity providing support, accommodation, advice, and outreach to people suffering housing crisis. They operate seven days a week and are run by volunteers, relying solely on donations.
Every Saturday they run a Street Kitchen at Old Steine (near the fountain) where they serve meals, give out clothes, supplies and advice to over 120 homeless people.
They are also at The Peace Statue every Thursday from 6:30pm until 7pm with the smaller van delivering a snack service alongside St John’s Ambulance who provide medical attention and advice.
In the last few years, due to the homeless crisis, they have converted and opened up two homeless night shelters in former double decker buses: giving shelter now on top of the many other life saving services the provide.
