Gnocchi three ways with Kitchen Academy (online)

Create a pasta trio – ricotta gnocchi, gnocchi di patate (potato gnocchi) and gnocchi alle erbe e semola (gnocchi with herbs and semolina).

jethroRicotta gnocchi is probably the simplest and most luxuriant type of gnocchi. A dough made of ricotta, egg and flour is shaped into tondore (round shapes) and served with cherry tomatoes, chilli flakes, parmesan and freshly torn basil.

Gnocchi di patate is well known and a real staple. We will be shaping the dough into little pillows dented with either a fork or a gnocchi board. Then served with a rich tomato sauce and parmesan.

Finally the semolina gnocchi which in Italy is a children’s favourite. Made using semolina flour these gnocchi are baked instead of boiled which turns them a nice golden colour. They are crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside and served again with plenty of parmesan and some butter. A real treat!

Jethro will demonstrate simple techniques using basic kitchen equipment, but if you want to be extra prepared you can purchase a gnocchi board online before the class to get that professional-looking finish.

Booking instructions

Tickets for this online event are offered on a ‘pay by donation’ basis. We suggest a donation of £20 per session, or £10 if unwaged, and £25-30 if you are able to ‘pay it forward’ to help us keep these classes accessible to all. Please note we do not typically offer refunds on online events.
