6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
This cookery class has been funded by Southern Housing Group and is open to Brighton & Hove residents living in social housing. See below for eligibility information.
What we eat affects how we feel, and our moods can affect what we choose to eat. Improving your diet can help to improve mood, increase energy levels and help you think more clearly.
Experienced cookery teacher Charlotte Fuller demystifies those confusing healthy eating messages, giving you simple tips to help you eat better. We will share quick, tasty recipes that can easily fit into any lifestyle. In just a few hours you will create, taste and takeaway:
- snacks – an omega packed quick and easy dip and a healthy snack, with healthy fats
- smoothies – for when you need a nutritious boost but cooking feels too much
- salads – our favourite mood-boosting recipes for making tasty veg meals
Join us for a relaxing and friendly session and leave with new skills and inspiration.
Covid-19 safety measures
We’ve taken time to develop new procedures and systems to keep participants, volunteers and staff safe, find out more here. For those who have attended our classes in the past, the key changes are that we now ask everyone to wear a face covering throughout the class (except during outside breaks), we no longer share a meal at the end but will package food to takeaway, and we are of course keeping to social distancing during the classes.
Who can attend?
Brighton & Hove residents living in social housing properties who are able to participate independently and attend an in person cookery session.
We ask for a suggested donation of £5 on the day of the class, payments can be made by cash or card.
If travel/ transport costs will be an issue for you, please contact us as we may be able to help.
