Local foodies in the know have been raving about Chilli Shaak deliveries since lockdown. Now you can find out why and cook with this local family who bring flavour, tradition and love to every dish!
This is a special, fundraising event. The team from Chilli Shaak are donating their time to help us raise funds for our community cookery groups. Thank you all for your support!
Explore and enjoy the wonderful world of spice with the family behind Chilli Shaak. They setup their successful food delivery service during lockdown, making traditional dishes in their home kitchen, and their delivery slots are now in high demand and booked weeks in advance.
Jay, his wife Ruchita, and his mother Kalpana will join us to share the techniques behind some of their favourite dishes. You will work in pairs to create a menu that includes:
- Calabash and tomato curry
- Sweetcorn curry
- Jeera rice
- Homemade chapatis

Dietary information: The menu for this class is gluten-free and vegetarian however we cannot guarantee the kitchen is a fully gluten-free environment. For any other allergies or dietary requirements, please contact us to discuss before booking.

- professional cookery tuition
- all ingredients and equipment
- hot drinks throughout the session and a welcome glass of fizz
- a light meal at our sociable dining table (you are welcome to bring your own drinks to enjoy with the meal)
- all recipes from the class.

Covid-19, safety & accessibility information
If new restrictions are announced, we will adapt our procedures according to the latest government guidelines and any updates will be sent by email and listed on our website. Our Kitchen space continues to be kept to a very high standard of cleaning and hygiene. The Kitchen also has facilities for disabled access and is easily reached by public transport or car. Tickets for this event are £59.99 per person, or £110 (in total) when booking two tickets at once, click ‘enter promotional code’ and use BRINGAFRIEND to access this. At most classes, food is prepared in pairs, but dishes can be adapted to individual tastes if needed.

Refund policy:
We are unable to provide refunds except if there is a mistake with the booking and we are notified within 48 hours after booking. In the event of any change in government covid guidelines, we will reschedule classes if necessary and bookings will be valid for the new date or can be transferred to another event.
If you are unable to attend your class for any reason, we encourage you to transfer your booking to a friend who can attend in your place. Please provide us with the new attendee’s details before the class starts by emailing info@bhfood.org.uk. Thank you for your understanding and support.
