Experienced pastry chef Charlotte Fuller reveals the tips behind the top pâtissiers.
At this class you will learn the art of making macarons. Get set to learn the intricacies of creating these wonderfully-indulgent sweet confections. This two-and-a-half-hour workshop will demystify the technical challenges that lie behind that melt-in-the mouth moment of authentic French meringue and the mysteries of melting sugar for proper caramel.
In this class, you will also make the delicious salted caramel ganache before constructing your chocolate & salted caramel macarons. Take home your own creations and you are sure to leave planning your next sweet, sugar-boiling session.
What previous participants on Charlotte’s classes said: “Good balance between doing and demonstrating.” “I really liked Charlotte!! Covid-19 safety measures
We’ve taken time to develop new procedures and systems to keep participants, volunteers and staff safe, find out more here. For those who have attended our classes in the past, the key changes are that we now ask everyone to wear a face covering when moving around the room, we no longer share a meal at the end but will package food to takeaway, and we are of course keeping to social distancing during the classes.
Tickets for this event are £55 per person, or £99.99 when booking two tickets at once. Those booking a pair of tickets should be from the same household or bubble as they will be working closely together, whilst still creating their own macarons.
We have a limited number of tickets available at a concession rate of £35 for those who are in receipt of a means-tested benefit, under-18s (must be accompanied by an adult), as well as full-time students. If available, these options will appear in the drop-down when purchasing your ticket.
Please note that only one gift voucher or discount code can be used per purchase, click ‘enter promo code’ to submit these details. If you need assistance please contact us.
You may book additional pair or individual tickets if you have a group interested to attend, however please note spaces are very limited due to Covid-19. We are happy to arrange bespoke private events for groups of six/ two households (or larger groups after 21st June), please contact us to discuss the options on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Due to current government guidelines and for the safety of all involved, we have greatly reduced the number of participants at our cookery classes. Any cancellations now have an increased impact on our ability to run a viable cookery school. We are therefore unable to provide refunds except if there is a mistake with the booking and we are notified within 48 hours after booking. In the event of a local/ national lockdown or change in government guidelines, we will reschedule classes if necessary and bookings will be valid for the new date or can be transferred to another event.
If you are unable to attend your class for any reason, we encourage you to transfer your booking to a friend who can attend in your place. Please provide us with the new attendee’s details (for the purposes of track & trace) before the class starts by emailing email@example.com.
