Serve this Turkish-inspired mezze dish alongside bread for dipping. 

Carbonnade is traditionally served with fries cooked in beef fat. This dish is also really delicious with some nice steamed potatoes.

You could use other root veg or a combination of a few.  Easy to make a batch and freeze.
